8 miles with Burt! Yes, I actually got to meet the most entertaining person on the blog. Burt and I ran from his house to the Mesa Temple and back. There really was someone there sitting in the front row of the pageant seats at 6:30 a.m. I can't figure out how to attach our temple pictures. I'll just send them to Burt.
The weather was great. When I left Orem on Saturday it was snowing. When snow's falling I rarely think of sunscreen, so yes, in response to the comments on Burt's blog, that is sun burn on my nose.
I had a nice visit with Burt's wife for 20 or 30 minutes after our run. She's great. As I got in the car to leave I realized I'd been gone for a while. I called my husband to tell him I was on my way home so he wouldn't be worried about me. He said, "Why would I be worried? You just went running with some guy you met on the Internet." It wasn't like me, but I had a great time, met some great people and lived to tell about it! |
