Long-Term Running Goals:

I love to run!  I want to feel good and run for a very long time.

Personal:

My husband Brent and I live in Orem with our three kids ages 12, 10 & 7.  Brent is a Marriage and Family Therapist and I'm at home with the kids.  I used to be a CPA, but now I just do a little bookkeeping from home.  For a lot of years running a marathon was something I did to get back in shape after having a baby.  Just finishing was accomplishment enough, now I want to finish faster.

I ran the St. George Marathon in 3:18 when I was 18 and set a record for my age division 15-18.  Now I train with the girl who broke my record.  I love the marathon and half marathon.   Long runs are what keep me from going crazy.

4 miles.  I felt less bad running this monday than I have on a monday in a long time.  That was encouraging.

Maybe you heard some good talks at Church yesterday. My daughter gave a talk in Sacrament.

We actually did have really good talks. My sister and brother-in-law moved into our ward and spoke on a conference talk by Elder Cook I think. Where he talked about this life being like an athlete's 4 min performance that will determine our eternal future, etc. Yea, that must be it.

Ha! Is this your sister from AZ? Now does your whole family live in the cul-de-sac?

Almost, we had 3 of 6 and now there's 4. They are staying in my mom's basement apartment until they decide where to live. There is one empty lot and my other sister, who also used to live in AZ, is moving here soon. She want's to build on the lot, but we'll see. Her husband needs to find a new job first. He just got out of the air force. I have another sister in Oregon who will never move here. She has a 10 acre horse property there and loves Oregon.

I'm sure we could find a nice home in the ward for you to move into Burt. Didn't you just move?

Yes, I did. But I could live in your basement.

You could if you were ok with unfinished walls, cement floors and no plumbing.
