Long-Term Running Goals:

I love to run!  I want to feel good and run for a very long time.

Personal:

My husband Brent and I live in Orem with our three kids ages 12, 10 & 7.  Brent is a Marriage and Family Therapist and I'm at home with the kids.  I used to be a CPA, but now I just do a little bookkeeping from home.  For a lot of years running a marathon was something I did to get back in shape after having a baby.  Just finishing was accomplishment enough, now I want to finish faster.

I ran the St. George Marathon in 3:18 when I was 18 and set a record for my age division 15-18.  Now I train with the girl who broke my record.  I love the marathon and half marathon.   Long runs are what keep me from going crazy.

Last night we did a total dejunking (is that a word?) of my boys bed room and closet.  They share a room and the floor has been a mess since Christmas.  With the exception of one afternoon when I picked everything up and put it on their beds so I could vacuume.  That night it all just went back onto the floor.  Very frustrating.

This afternoon we tackled the toy room, which is basically a room with a couch, TV and Legos everywhere.  The floor was so covered they got out the Lincoln Logs in their bed room last week.  A bunch of stuff went into the trash and I have a pile for the DI.  I told them, "If you throw it away you'll never have to clean it up again!"  I was pleased they were actually willing to part with quite a lot, just none of the Legos.  At one point I asked my son if he wanted to keep something and he said, "I didn't know where that was."  It was on the floor in the middle of the toy room, but the room was such a mess he couldn't see it!

Just so people don't start imagining scenes from "Horders," the rest of my house is actually very consistently clean.  Time to work on pine wood derby cars.

Dejunking - the removal of one's junk. I looked it up.

dejunking [alternate definition] - clear out the physical clutter AND relieve the mental mess. i didn't look it up; i learned it from oprah.
