Long-Term Running Goals:

I love to run!  I want to feel good and run for a very long time.

Personal:

My husband Brent and I live in Orem with our three kids ages 12, 10 & 7.  Brent is a Marriage and Family Therapist and I'm at home with the kids.  I used to be a CPA, but now I just do a little bookkeeping from home.  For a lot of years running a marathon was something I did to get back in shape after having a baby.  Just finishing was accomplishment enough, now I want to finish faster.

I ran the St. George Marathon in 3:18 when I was 18 and set a record for my age division 15-18.  Now I train with the girl who broke my record.  I love the marathon and half marathon.   Long runs are what keep me from going crazy.

8 miles.  I was so stupid.  I planned to meet Melanie at 6:00 a.m. in Lehi and set my alarm for 6:25 instead of 5:25.  I got up, went to the bathroom and even started getting dressed when I looked at the clock all confused and realized what I had done.  I did my 5 x 1200 on the street, way more miserable by myself.

Usually when I do something like that I have to stand there and stare at the clock for a while. Gotta make sure I'm reading it right even though I know I am.

Nice job getting the miles in anyways! It'd have been easy enough to not.

Thought process someting like this,(making more noise than usual because I forgot to get all my clothes out the night before) "I hope Brent (my husband) can go back to sleep. How much longer does he have to sleep? probably 1 1/2 hours, no only 1/2 an hour. Wait, how can I get to Lehi and back and run 10 miles in 30 min. That's not right. Oh, it's 6:36 and I was supposed to be there at 6:00!"

If I know Melanie, she'll never forgive you.
